How it works

From "what shall we do tonight?" to a confirmed booking. You are searching 2 883 rooms in 223 cities and you pay nothing for it.

1. Say what you are looking for

City, date, number of players and budget per person. You can also use your location — it is processed on your device only and we do not send it to the server.

2. Compare

You see the games in a list and on a map at the same time. Each one shows the genre, the length, the range of players, the price per person, and whether we can book it directly or send you to the venue's website. For games with a rating we also show where the rating comes from.

3. Book

If the venue has a booking system with us, you pick a time and book right here. If not, we open its own page for you — we never send you anywhere blindly, and we check the links regularly.

How to pick a game when you are going for the first time

Start with the difficulty, not the theme. For a first game it makes sense to pick something marked easy or medium — the escape rate for hard games is usually below half, and an hour of getting nowhere is no fun. Filter by the number of players who are actually coming: a game for two played by six is a crush, and a game for six played by two will not be finished in time.

Fear is a separate detail, not the same thing as the genre. There is horror with a low fear level, just as there is a mystery game that frightens more than horror does. If you are going with children or with someone who does not take to it, look at that separately.

How we know the data is right

We verify every venue from several sources and, in the end, always on its own website — which takes precedence over any directory in case of conflict. Venues that have closed we remove from the database so that nobody stands in front of a locked door; we check that through the state of the domain and through whether the venue still appears elsewhere. When we cannot verify a detail, the field stays empty.

What "awaiting claim" means

The venue is in our directory, but its owner has not claimed the profile yet. The data comes from public sources and has been checked, just not by them. Once they claim the profile, they can add photos, exact prices and open time slots.
